Who We Are
We are a group of community focussed individuals who have banded together to set the space up as a community hub and workshop space.
What We’re Doing
Our vision is to foster a sense of community and collaboration by providing a space that is accessible and welcoming to everyone.
This space will function as a comfortable hang out/drop in space for people who have time to spend in Bega and are looking for a space to connect with others socially without the pressure of having to spend money. A dry space to hang out with young children, a place to take a break and sit down. In addition to this we use the space to run a variety of workshops and classes.
We are operating as a collective to provide individuals with the opportunity to run workshops and events that would otherwise not be feasible due to limited space in their homes or the high cost of renting venues for occasional or infrequent activities.
Objectives
- Educational Workshops and Classes:
● To offer a variety of workshops and classes that cater to different interests and
skill levels. These will range from arts and crafts to personal development and
wellness. - Community Events:
● To host events that bring the community together, such as sustainability driven clothes and book swaps, art and cultural events and celebrations of food. - Resource Sharing:
● To provide access to resources and tools that individuals may not have at home,
including basic tools for mending clothes. - Inclusive Environment:
● To ensure our space is inclusive and accessible to all community members, promoting diversity and fostering a sense of belonging.
Imagine if instead of paying for petrol to drive home and back to town, you just had somewhere nice to hang out.
How to Get Involved
We invite all members of the community to get involved in our activities, whether by attending/hosting workshops and events, volunteering, or simply stopping by to connect with others and chat through ideas.
